The Eyedream Residency

Summer 2018

The Eyedream Residency: Solidarity is Possible, but Not Inevitable

This summer, I was an artist-in-residence with BUFU, an art collective centered around documenting black and pan-Asian political exchange, and Eyebeam, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit incubator for artists, technologists, and designers. As part of the Eyedream Residency, I organized with artists, organizers, educators, storytellers, and technologists around the theme, ‘Solidarity is Possible, but not Inevitable.’ Together we explored themes of identity, liberation, resilience, healing, and coalition-building.

In addition to participating in a month-long series of shows, programming, performances, and workshops, I also art directed multiple exhibitions, developing visual identities and collateral for each show across print and digital media.
